Procrastinate No More

I must work the works of Him who sent Me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. (John 9:4 KJV)

As I begin writing this blog post, the lyrics from the Broadway musical, Annie, come to mind.

In Christ You Can Rise Again

And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit, who lives in you. (Romans 8:11)

Mountains and valleys are both a part of life.

HOPE for the HOMELESS

35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

You’re Gifted

“There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them.” – 1 Corinthians 12:4 (NIV)

When I was a child, I loved going to the grocery store with my mother to pick out my favorite cereal. It’s because, back in the day, a prize (toy) came in every box of sugary goodness.

Know Your Benefits

“Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all his benefits.” – Psalm 103:2 (NKJV)

What you don’t know could be depriving you. Recently, my employer sent me an up-to-date print out of my insurance coverage. Although it was quite lengthy, I took the time to read it and gained an even better understanding of my coverage and all that my insurance policy had to offer.

It’s About You-Not Them

“But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.” – Mark 11:26 (NKJV)

Have you ever been offended or deeply hurt by someone? If so, you are not alone. Chances are you, like so many others, have suffered great pain at the hands of someone you loved or trusted.

Busy Isn’t Better

“But Martha [overly occupied and too busy] was distracted with much serving; and she came up to Him and said, Lord, is it nothing to You that my sister has left me to serve alone? Tell her then to help me [to lend a hand and to do her part along with me]!”

Silence Is Heard

“O Lord, You have searched me and known me.  You know my sitting down and my rising up; you understand my thought afar off.” – Psalm 139:1-2 (NKJV)

There are times in our lives when life can seem unbearable, uncomfortable, and extremely painful. During these times,

I Don’t Care

“Casting all of your care upon Him, for He cares for you.” – 1 Peter 5:7 (NKJV)

It was one of those days. Dilemma after dilemma joined forces against me, and I felt defenseless against them all. Various concerns of life washed over me like a tsunami, and it seemed as though I was drifting away in waves of worry.
